Soul Release Cards like Kycoo are great for getting rid of your opponents cards in the graveyard But even with Kycoo out, its not always possible to inflict battle damage
Despite its drawbacks, any card that can get up to 52 creatures in a commander game for as little as one black mana is going to get attention, and its expected Blasphemous Edict will be no different.
Little by little, people played with the split cards and found them a lot of fun
