Chapter I and the stat-line are super underwhelming, but if you can double a spell on the turn and triple a spell on the turn after, it's game over
While targeted graveyard removal is nice, whenever a player plays a card that shares a type with that which Cemetery Gatekeeper exiled, that player loses two life
This can be used for attack or defense: either proliferate +1/+1 counters to make his allies stronger, or proliferate a poison counter to damage an enemy further
Im not sure exactly where this will see play because its in the Commander set, but it has a chance
