Both strategy and connections among players play even more of a role than money
Its not unreasonable to think you might just draw twenty cards, right there, and if your deck contains a very unusual amount of mana, you might not be far from drawing your whole deck (especially if youve got a couple of Dakmor Salvages somewhere in the mix, making it completely deterministic that you mill your deck, fill the battlefield, and set up some graveyard kill)
In regards to DnD I would have loved this aura to lose some toughness per damage taken to be more in line with the actual spell in the game (and to give it a chance in draft/sealed to be removed by swinging into it rather than having to wait for someone to remove the actual aura or creature)
Understandably, this is not feasible in general casual play, and even less feasible in multiplayer, where the bad feelings can be much worse
