2D-026-007 Class 86 426 "Pride of the Nation" EWS Electric Locomotive Multiple-Unit Pin-point brass bearingsThe Class 86 Bo Bo electric locomotive was the first large scale electric brought into the running service and was developed from the earlier class 81 85's. These locomotives were built in Doncaster between 1965 and 1966 and were designed for use on the high speed routes on the newly electrified West Coast line and could be used for both freight and passenger services. Some of the locomotives in this class were named after cities that they pass
