The mountain bluebirds are on the move to their wintering grounds

it's time to begin with harvest

this is truly one of the most wild places in North America

However while on a hike up into the high-country I came across a peaceful little pond

Later on, I had discovered another ranch with a creek flowing through the yard which inspired the foreground. I wanted this painting to depict the peacefulness and beauty of the valleys near where I live. I never knew how much waterfowl Western Montana had, particularly Mallards. They fill the ponds and rivers
